Unreal engine stands better in terms of ranking, i.e. Any input on this subject would be most welcome and if I have missed another good engine in the same price range of Leadwerks, a mention would be good too, but be aware that $1000 engines are out of my price range right now. Check out our PolyVox voxel terrain engine It integrates nicely with Ogre. Having tried the demo part of the evaluation copy of Leadwerks on my wifes laptop (Intel mobile graphics adaptor) and having it fail, makes me considder using Unity, but the Leadwerks engine seems to allow you more freedom in coding. I think you should repost your question with a topic like 'How does Ogre use multiple materials in StaticGeometry', because it doesn't really have anything todo with Ogre vs Unreal. much is known about The Matrix Awakens other than it is coming to at least the PlayStation 5 and has the tagline of 'An Unreal Engine 5 Experience.
